In this chapter, we saw evidence that some government and religions in ancient societies encouraged their people to be good and fair to each other. Do we see similar evidence in our society?
In modern culture I think we see less of an influence to be good in governments but probably about the same in religion. Society today seems so dead set on letting people be whoever they whomever they be and the line between good and evil is very vague. In religion there is a lot of influence and encouragement to be good and fair, depending upon your religion.

I think government has mostly gotten out of the business of encouraging any kind of goodness. And perhaps that's for the best as we all have different ideas of good.
